Extension to Domestic Water Supply – Dublin Airport
Further to the relocation and construction of the Dublin Airport potable water reservoir to the Castlemoate road, a new 2.35km 450mm diameter/300mm diameter dual watermains spur was required to connect up to the existing airport supply, situated within the coach park of the airport terminal ground level parking area. The existing 300mm diameter AC feed within the coach park was replaced with 300mm diameter DI pipes and fittings, along with a new 450mm diameter DI feed to service the new Terminal 2 building. Considerable traffic management was required on a daily basis to deal with the volumes of vehicular and pedestrian traffic encountered.
